What We Do
Enrich North Carolina’s Standard Course of Study through hands-on, 'experiential' learning in nearby natural areas.
Allow students to develop a connection with the land, become more physically active, gain in self-confidence and more clearly comprehend the science curriculum.
Who We Serve
Fifth grade classes from participating schools in Transylvania County, Henderson County, Buncombe County, Asheville City, and McDowell County school districts. When possible, we are always seeking to expand our programming within western North Carolina.
