We are excited to announce Camp Muddy Sneakers!  Join our team of trained naturalists as we continue the adventure this summer. Through hands-on, experiential instruction, campers will gain a deep understanding of the natural world and have the opportunity to explore the peaks, creeks, and wild woodlands that make western NC so magical.

On Saturday April 20, Muddy Sneakers hosted its 1st Annual Summit at Ira B. Jones Elementary in Asheville, NC. The Summit was a celebration of experiential, nature-based education and the five years of successful collaboration between Muddy Sneakers and its partnering WNC schools/districts that are making a difference in public education. Welcome Brevard College Intern Abby Kestner

Abby Kestner is interning with Muddy Sneakers this spring and will soon be graduating from Brevard College with a B.A. in Wilderness Leadership & Experiential Education. She has an Associates Degree in Deaf Communications and many years’ experience working with children with various disabilities.She hopes to work with this demographic in a non-traditional outdoor setting in the future.
