Lila of Muddy Sneakers shares her forest inspiration in new video

We hope Muddy Sneakers inspires students, and in return, they inspire us! This awesome video highlights why we do what we do.

“Trees are useful being cut down, but sometimes it’s useful for them to just stay where they are, because it takes them a long time — like years — to grow fully.”

Those are words of wisdom from Lila, a fifth-grader whose school takes part in the Muddy Sneakers program. She loves going out among the trees because being in nature helps her in science and in art.

“You just appreciate how beautiful they are,” she says. “I like to look at the woods and draw from it. It just kind of inspires me.”
