ASHEVILLE, NC — Muddy Sneakers would like to express sincere gratitude to Pisgah Coffee Roasters for bringing back September’s Hellbender coffee fundraising campaign. The craft coffee roaster is selling bags of its custom Hellbender blend for $14, and donating $7 of each purchase to Muddy Sneakers. The coffee can be purchased on site at Pisgah Coffee Roasters, 6283 Asheville Highway in Pisgah Forest, NC, and online at https://pisgahroasters.com/products/hellbender.
Jotham Lipsi, Owner and Head of Operations for Pisgah Coffee Roasters, said, “We truly value our community, and a major contribution to those connections derives from local collaborations. Our long-term relationship with Muddy Sneakers has been one of innovation and meaningful development across generations. Supporting them allows us to help contribute to these programs that build and shape the character of children and surround them with positive role models for years to come.”
Muddy Sneakers is excited to once again offer the community this unique method of supporting its mission to awaken in children a deeply felt connection with the natural world.
Jordan Robbins, Muddy Sneakers’ Development Director, said, “Muddy Sneakers is a community collaboration model. Due to the generosity and care of local community members and NC businesses like Pisgah Coffee Roasters, we are able to help our public schools close opportunity gaps while connecting the next generation to our beloved conserved natural areas.”
Hellbender is sourced from the Cerrado region of Brazil. This limited edition post-roast blend is described as subtly sweet with notes of chocolate and is only sold during the month of September. Muddy Sneakers says last year, many individuals asked to purchase more after the promotion ended.
“So many fell in love with this unique roast last year,” said Robbins, “It’s a great opportunity for some self-indulgence, but also a chance to take care of others and stock up on your holiday, teacher, and employee gifts – all while supporting Pisgah Coffee Roasters, Muddy Sneakers, and local teachers and students.”
