We’re thrilled to introduce LaToya Skinner to the Muddy Sneakers family! LaToya brings a wealth of experience in education, leadership, and nonprofit management, making her a valuable addition to our team.
LaToya holds a Doctor of Strategic Leadership from Liberty University. There, she cultivated her passion for guiding others and developing effective strategies for growth and success. Her professional journey includes two years in Early Childhood Development and an impressive 11 years with Virginia Beach City Public Schools. While working in public education, LaToya supported middle school students beyond strictly academics. She also served as the Cheerleading Coach, encouraging students to build confidence and teamwork on and off the field.
One of LaToya’s greatest strengths is her dedication to working with at-risk students. She developed and implemented tailored plans and programs designed to foster both individual and collective growth, helping students discover their potential and thrive.
After relocating to North Carolina, LaToya transitioned into nonprofit management, working with various organizations throughout the Triangle. Her expertise in operations and her ability to build meaningful relationships have made a lasting impact in the nonprofit sector.
In her new role as Executive Administrator at Muddy Sneakers, LaToya Skinner will provide essential support to our leadership team. She will help to streamline operations and enhance our ability to deliver transformative outdoor learning experiences. Her deep-rooted passion for academics and service aligns perfectly with our mission to inspire a connection to the natural world through experiential learning.
