ANNUAL PARTNERSHIPS

Annual Partnerships for the duration of the 2025–2026 school year are available for renewing Annual Partners from April 1 to April 30. Beginning May 1, new partners can enroll on a first-come, first-served basis. Enrollment closes on July 31 or when capacity is reached, whichever comes first.

“Our Annual Partnerships are always in high demand,” said Kira King, Programming and Reservations Manager at Muddy Sneakers. “We encourage schools to act quickly to secure their spot. The transformative learning that happens in our experiential outdoor setting is unparalleled, and we’re excited to continue building strong partnerships with schools across North Carolina.”

CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE

Choose Your Own Adventure (CYOA) programs remain available for enrollment year-round, but Muddy Sneakers encourages early reservations to guarantee availability. CYOA programs are available individually or in any combination. This provides flexible schedule options and serving as a great introduction to Muddy Sneakers and outdoor education in general.

Teachers who have experienced Muddy Sneakers’ programs firsthand continue to praise their impact on students. According to Tammy Thompson, a teacher at Mt Ulla Elementary School, a current Annual Partner:

“Muddy Sneakers is a very enriching experience. It engages all learning styles, is hands on and provokes imagination. It allows students to exercise and explore the world around them. In addition, it promotes teamwork and collaboration and is a unique way to learn about science. What better way to learn than in an outdoor classroom atmosphere.”

Muddy Sneakers’ programs spark curiosity, foster teamwork, and deepen students’ connection to the natural world. Through immersive, field-based learning, students apply classroom science concepts to real-world experiences, reinforcing understanding and building a lifelong appreciation for the natural world.

You can make an online donation to support Muddy Sneakers’ mission. Your gift helps provide more students with the opportunity to experience outdoor science education. Contributions offset program costs and allow Muddy Sneakers to continue offering discounted rates to schools across the state.
