Aila Music joins Muddy Sneakers as an intern supporting outdoor education programs across the Piedmont of North Carolina. Born and raised in Salisbury, she is excited to serve students in the same school systems where she grew up, bringing her journey full circle.
In her role, Aila assists instructors in delivering hands-on, nature-based science lessons that inspire curiosity and deepen learning beyond the classroom. She is especially passionate about highlighting the importance of environmental studies in education and engaging younger generations as future stewards of the natural world.
Aila is currently a student at Catawba College, pursuing a degree in Environment and Sustainability with a concentration in Policy and Advocacy. She is grateful for the opportunity to learn alongside the Muddy Sneakers team and looks forward to contributing her skills and enthusiasm to advancing the organization’s mission.
