David Rahahę:tih Webb

A lifetime environmental educator, David Rahahę:tih Webb brings two decades of nonprofit and education leadership to Muddy Sneakers. David had a true sense of wonder and love for nature as a child and became involved in conservation education initiatives as a teen. Previously, David served as president & CEO of an historic Florida zoological park and nature center. He founded the STEM Institute at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, in partnership with FGCU and school districts. David oversaw Miami-Dade County’s environmental education and ecotourism programs, six nature centers and museums, and the county’s sea turtle protection program. He was director of public engagement at the AZA accredited Aquarium of Niagara, serving more than 306,000 guests annually while growing fundraising and education programs. David has also led teams at regional museums, taught science in public school systems, and served on state curriculum and standards committees. David currently serves on Boards of Directors/Advisors for the Wonder Gardens, as well as the Center for Environment & Society, and the Food Forest at Florida Gulf Coast University.

David Rahahę:tih Webb is from the Meherrin-Tuscarora and PeeDee-Natchez Indian Tribes. His culture has shaped his worldview and is central in his life. He is a traditional and contemporary Native American artist and an active member of his community. David’s art in the form of sculpture, beadwork, and other mediums have been featured in museum exhibits and in permanent collections throughout the eastern United States.
