With over a decade of teaching experience, Erica is a Core Instructor whose journey in education beautifully intertwines her love for nature, sustainable practices, and meaningful learning experiences.
Erica’s passion for education was cultivated early in her career through farm-to-school outdoor education programs. Her undergraduate studies in sustainable agriculture laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to connecting students with the natural world. Recognizing the power of experiential learning, she pursued her Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in middle-level education, equipping her to inspire young minds with creativity and care.
Before joining Muddy Sneakers, Erica spent years as a public school teacher, bringing wonder to her students in traditional classrooms. Now, she combines her background in sustainability with her educational expertise to deliver hands-on lessons that resonate beyond the classroom walls.
