Anne Bullard

Anne BullardAnne Bullard and her husband, Grant, moved to Brevard in 1995 from Winston-Salem, NC, where Anne attended Wake Forest University. After graduation, she began her teaching career in Dijon, France and worked in private and public education for 15 more years before she and her husband purchased Gwynn Valley Camp. For the past 20 years, Anne has co-directed Gwynn Valley and dedicated her time and career to youth development and outdoor education. Anne loves teaching and watching young people become comfortable in the natural world as they gain a love and connection to the land. She believes that every child should have the opportunity to play, learn, and recreate in the outdoors.

Anne is active in her church and served on the vestry and as the senior warden along with teaching Sunday school to the youngest class of 5-7-year-olds. She currently serves on the Transylvania County Library board and recently rotated off of Creating a Family’s board. She has been involved in the Kids in Camp program of Transylvania County for the past 20 years and currently serves as its chair.

Anne and Grant have four children who grew up in Brevard. Their daughter, now in her 20s, participated in and loved the Muddy Sneakers program back when she attended Brevard Middle School when the program first began.
