Betsy Jordan

Betsy Jordan grew up in Gainesville, Georgia, and spent many happy days hiking with her dad in the north Georgia mountains. Her father taught her to identify (and love) the trees and wildlife of those beautiful mountains. She spent summers at camps in Georgia and at Camp Celo near Burnsville, NC.

Betsy earned a bachelor’s degree in economics at Vanderbilt University before receiving a law degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She practiced law for 15 years in Colorado before she, her husband, and their three children moved to Brevard 24 years ago. She has served on a number of boards in Brevard, including the Transylvania Regional Hospital board of trustees, Transylvania Regional Hospital Foundation, Transylvania Endowment, Transylvania County Library and the library Foundation Board, among others.

She enjoys trail running, hiking, gardening, cooking, and reading.
