Connor was born and raised in the great Midwest state of Indiana where as a child he was often found catching frogs and other critters and begging his parents for a pet turtle . He earned a bachelors degree in Secondary Education from Indiana University. After teaching abroad in New Zealand, Connor came back to the states and worked a variety of jobs in the outdoor and environmental industry, including over five years at the Indianapolis Zoo. Connor then moved to Asheville and for the last two and a half years, has worked with children in a therapeutic setting for a Wilderness Therapy company based in Western NC. There he learned the benefits, both physically and emotionally, of connecting children to the nature around them at a young age. He is excited to be a member of the Muddy Sneakers team and rejoin the world of education where he especially enjoys teaching in a more direct hands on approach. When he is not at work, Connor can be found rock climbing his way through Kentucky and North Carolina, playing tennis as best he can, and trying to turn his cat into a hiking cat.
