Cynthia Peedin

Cynthia PeedinAs a native of North Carolina, Cynthia spent most of her childhood outside playing in the woods, fields, and beaches not far from her home, igniting her love for the outdoors. Cynthia received her bachelor of science in marine biology degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. After graduating, she joined AmeriCorps as an environmental educator in the Maine Conservation Corps, where she honed her naturalist and educating skills. Cynthia continued to work as an environmental educator in Maine for the next four years. At the same time, she pursued her master of science degree in ecological teaching and learning at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Upon graduation, Cynthia moved to Thompson Island, located in the Boston Harbor, to work as an Outward Bound field instructor. There she worked with Boston Public School students and helped them discover the wonder and freedom of exploring the natural world. Now, Cynthia is excited to be back in her home state and be a part of the Muddy Sneakers team, expanding in the Piedmont region. Cynthia loves the Salisbury community and exploring the beautiful NC Piedmont region with her small furry sidekick, Jackson.
