2013-2014 school season gets ready to kick off

Muddy Sneakers is excited to announce the start of our 2013-14 season!

This year marks our biggest season to date, with 18 partnering schools from four counties across Western North Carolina.

In addition to all of our schools returning from last year, we are pleased to announce the addition of Hillandale and Mills River elementary schools in Henderson County (doubling that district’s participation in one year).

Both days of training last week went very well, with all staff positions filled with returning naturalists. We especially want to thank Nick Pearl from Trails Academy for lending his expertise on handling behavior management challenges in the field. We are constantly amazed by the caliber of instructor found in this region and we love any opportunity to partner with other outfits to improve the quality of our instruction. With expeditions beginning this week, we hope to see you all on the trail soon!
