Muddy Sneakers hosts NC Superintendent of Education

On Monday, Nov. 16, Muddy Sneakers was honored to welcome NC Superintendent of Education June Atkinson for a visit.

Atkinson observed a learning expedition in DuPont State Recreational Forest with Henderson County’s Sugarloaf Elementary. The organization truly appreciated the superintendent’s willingness to come from Raleigh to learn more about the program and to further consider how the program might serve as a model for other communities across North Carolina.
